Sunday family dinner... what a great idea! That was my first thought when my friend told me how her family has Sunday dinner every week after church. She pulls out the china and sets the table so that when they come home from church, they sit down to a lovely dinner. I love the idea... and it makes me wish we had kids even more! But alas, some things just take time and can't be rushed. Then about 3 weeks ago, Justin and I were out on a walk and I thought... why do I limit family to blood relatives. What about the family of believers?! So we decided to ask another couple from our OCF group (who also are waiting for the Lord to bless them with children) if they would be interested in starting Sunday Family Dinners... and they loved the idea also! Then some good friends of theirs got orders at the least minute to come to Monterey for grad school... so we invited them along and today we started a new tradition :)
The six of us had such a fabulous afternoon... talking, eating, and enjoying some wonderful wine. I can't wait until next Sunday when we meet again! Returning to the true meaning of the Sabbath... now there's a great thing.

Jen, what fun!!!! This is an awesome idea. It reminds me of the time we came over to your house for lunch one Sunday and Justin had us "break bread" together. You guys are so good at bringing others back to the love of the Father and community.
You go, Girl! Love you and miss you!
Jen, I am so proud of you. You have always been faithful to open up your home and life to others. God is glorified each time you offer the gift of hospitality. I hope you all have a great time next Sunday. Miss you beautiful smile. Love, Lisa Coughlin
