Scout Sniper

Okay... so maybe not a Scout Sniper (afterall, he is in the Navy)... but Justin has been stalking the mole in our backyard with the same passion with which he pursued me when we were dating! I'm not sure if that's a good thing but it sure has been entertaining. So I woke up on Monday morning and noticed a mound of dirt in our backyard but didn't think much of it. Tuesday morning there was a 2nd mound. Wednesday morning there was a 3rd and 4th mound. Hmmm. Then Wednesday night the mole made the mistake of sticking his head out of one of the holes... and Justin locked onto it like a heat seaking missile. For the rest of the week he would sit by the window upstairs and wait for the mole to stick his head out. After taking a few shots at it, the furry little critter got the message that this was hostile territory and has retreated. Victory!

Sidenote: The gun is a pellet gun... no we would not discharge a fire arm in our neighborhood... at least not in California :)
