Hello folks, today's post comes courtesy of Justin. Rare though as sightings of me have been on this blog, fear not- I am not an endangered species.
Two nights ago we were watching one of my absolute FAVORITE shows (just after Gilmore Girls & Housewives of OC) - ‘Here Come the Newlyweds’- a remarkably redeeming program that broadcasts in all its gory detail the joys and struggles of how two lives become one. When asked what produces the greatest amount of stress in their relationship most of the couples gave answers such as:
“the in-laws”, “finances”, or “sex”
Well last night I discovered what seems to be the biggest cause of stress in our own marriage…
…
…
…
strawberry baskets.
Money? Intimacy? Finance? We have those things down for the most part, but woe be it to the couple that can’t decide on whether to use the Costco cardboard boxes or the cloth shopping bags when picking strawberries.
Eventually, we realized how ridiculous this might have looked to our own cadre of faithful viewers and moved on…all this to say that strawberry picking at Gizdich ranch today was awesome! And today was such a beautiful day it was impossible not to be overwhelmed at the beauty of God’s creation…and we have thirteen pounds of that creation in our fridge waiting to be turned into jam…yum yum.
>Postscript- Jen asked me to point out that she absolutely does NOT watch GG or Housewives.
