Leave My Flowers Alone!

The weather here in California tends to be pretty pleasant at night (in the low 50s ) so we've gotten in the habit of sleeping with our windows cracked open. This is especially helpful in keeping our bedroom cool since we don't have an air conditioner on this house. We've gotten pretty use to hearing noises during the night but last night was different. About 2am this morning I woke to the sound of someone or something on the balcony. Try as I might to ignore that someone is on our balcony... I finally hauled myself out of bed and ever so cautiously peaked through the blinds. And there they were... 2 baby raccoons who were about to attack my gerbera daisy!!!
I yanked the blinds up and started yelling and hissing at them. They turned and gave me this face... kind of like the one in the picture above. So, keep in mind that I was just waking up, for some reason I was afraid they would try to attack me through the cracked window. Yikes! I jumped back in bed and started shaking Justin saying "Wakeup! Wakeup! There are raccoons on the balcony going after my flowers!" He got up and continued yelling and hissing at them until they crawled back down to the ground. I feel like we live in the outback or somewhere far from civilization. Sight. Where's a pellet gun when you need it?!
