39+ Weeks & One Last Baby Shower

 Saturday one of my dearest friends here threw a baby shower to celebrate Baby Boy!  Tracy has been such a wonderful encouragement and support through years of waiting for the Lord to bless us with a child.  I still can't believe that this little boy will be here in the next few weeks.  How strange to think about...

 Courtney is one of my friends from the last time we were based here.  She was there when Justin and I were first dating... and when we were engaged.  She was at my Bridal Shower,  sang at our wedding... and this weekend she was at our Baby Shower!  She was so excited to be able to celebrate another major milestone in our lives with us!  Such a sweet friend!

Name that Baby Food... by sight only.  I was TERRIBLE at this!  I think I had all the correct foods downs but not in the right order.  Sigh.  I guess I'm going to have plenty of years to perfect this one.

Courtney must have misunderstood the instructions... she was suppose to guess how big around I was... not how tall I am!  Sheesh.  I hope I don't look that big around!  LOL.

Comparing the strings.  EVERYONE guessed I was bigger than I am.  I think I guessed 1" smaller... but everyone else was off by at least 6"+!  Ha.  We laughed so hard... which incidentally isn't always a good thing at 39 weeks in pregnancy!  Oh well.

My mom has been busily sewing all kinds of burp rags.  Suffice it to say... we have enough to deal with a stream of spit up... but hopefully we won't need that many.

Tracy and I... just over 7 weeks apart in our pregnancies (except this is her 2nd baby).  We're looking forward to many play dates!

So be honest... I don't look that big for 39 weeks, do I???  I feel like a tank and the scale says that I am a tank!  Ha ha.  Such a liar the scale is.  Baby Boy is due this Sunday, October 17th!  We're very excited but I think this little boy will be late.  My body is showing no signs of starting labor anytime soon.  My doctor told me at my last appt that if I'm still pregnant on the 18th (my next appt), she'll schedule me for an induction that weekend since she has call the entire weekend and I REALLY REALLY want her to be the one to deliver this little boy.  I'm so excited to have a deadline and even more excited to be able to hold this little boy soon.  I have a feeling he is going to have some major leg muscles from all the moving , pushing and stretching he's been doing lately :)
