Picture Post- Washington DC

The last 2 weeks of March brought us 2 weeks of family visits.  The day my parents arrived, Justin came home from work sick... and I mean sick.  He ran a really high fever for 7 days.  Boo.  The next day I came down with pink eye and Parker came down with a cold.  We were all more or less healthy by the following week when we headed to Washington D.C.... but then I got sick in DC and now Justin is sick again.  We're soooo ready for spring.

The weather has been unseasonably cool but it was so nice to see the cherry blossoms around the Tidal Basin in full bloom.  So beautiful.  Parker proved that he travels sooo well.  He absolutely loves the Baby Bjorn and so happy when we carried him in it.  He is such a social baby and I think he likes it so much because it allows him to be closer to eye level with people and interact (read: flirt) with them.

Parker turned 5 months old while we were in DC.  I can't believe 5 months have already passed!  We started him on cereal right before the trip but I think all the stimulation of sight seeing all day left him too tired to eat.  We suspended cereal until we got home... and now he's sleeping most of the night!  Woohoo!  We're finally getting sleep in our house again.

I love his face in this picture... just hanging out.

Cherry Blossoms

We have no idea what was going on... but we're assuming Marine 1 was practicing it's approach to the White House since we watched them fly back and forth at least 6 times.   Love this photo.

My guys :)  Parker decided as we were going through the American History museum that it was time to jump so Justin took over jumping responsibilities.  (Jumping is when you hold him upright and he literally jumps on your lap for 5-10 minutes each time. Now that he's stronger we let him do most of the work and just stabilize him.)

You deserve your own home!  Um... no thanks.  Love the retro picture though...

The Office of Thrift Supervision... with patio furniture on each level.  Does it strike anyone else as ironic?  I mean, when I think of thrift, Washington isn't one of the things that comes to mind.  Just saying...
