The last 2 weeks have been tough ones for Parker... hence the reason I haven't posted anything. The name of the game the last 2 weeks has been survival. I've suspected he had acid reflux for a few weeks but things started getting out of control the last 2 weeks. Thanksgiving week, Justin's parents came to meet their first grandbaby. Parker was more fussy than normal that week but enjoyed spending time with is Papaw and Memaw.
Parker LOVES his teddy bear suit! He falls asleep everytime I put him in it! Have you ever seen a cuter bear?!? Ha ha. I love this little boy SOOO much!
Last week Justin was out of town (about 2 hours away) for business. The day he left Parker starting spitting up (badly)... to the point I was going through at least 8 burp rags/day. He literally had spit up come out his nose on a few occasions... and he was NOT a happy baby. He cried and cried. He would cry while nursing, cry for at least an hour after nursing before he would cat nap for 15-30 minutes... and then we would start all over again. He went from 5-6 hour stretches between feedings at night to 3 hour stretches. I spent most of the week holding him so there are no pictures. I have so much respect for the women who are raising a baby while their hubby is deployed. After last week... I'm not sure I could do it for more than a week! By Wednesday night I knew that one of us was going on meds! Ha.
Saturday morning we got Parker on some medicine to control the acid reflux... and this medicine is now my best friend! Our baby is once again happy, smiling and sleeping much better!
