Alright friends, it's time to share the fairytale story that led to your "happily ever after". Doesn't matter if your married or engaged, we want to hear THE story! To join in first write out your story on your blog, then go to THIS link and add your name/blog link at the bottom of the post.
I moved to Norfolk December 12, 2005... a day I will never forget because I had never experienced such cold weather! I was single and happy living the single life. My career was mapped out and there was no time for relationship if I wanted to head to a Battalion next (after an IA to Iraq of course). I was actively involved in the Virginia Beach/Chesapeake branch of Officer Christian Fellowship (OCF) that met every Friday night... a group that was mostly married couples.
In March we started hanging out together. One night he invited me over for dinner... but didn't mention that he was inviting 3 other ladies over. If there was a shred of interest before that night... it quickly vanished... again he was just chasing girls. Turns out his interest was growing. Before long he was inviting just me over for dinner. His roommates were out on the carrier for work ups so it was just us in the house. Justin was very good about guarding my heart. While we were spending more and more time together, weekly we would have a conversation where we made sure we were both on the same page, that would be "the just friends" page. Then on April 17th he called me up as I drove home from work and again invited me over for dinner. As I was driving to his house I remember thinking we hadn't had one of our "conversations" in over 2 weeks but just brushed it off. When I got to his house I was surprised to find one of his roommates back in town. So our quiet little dinner turned into a three-some :) Later that night as I was driving home my cell phone rang. It was Justin and he had a question for me... would I be interested in dating/courting him. I still remember exactly where I was on the interstate... and the tingly feeling that shot down to my toes.
And that's how our Fairytale began...
