Show Us Your Life - My Wedding Dress

So Kelly is starting a new series called Show Us Your Life. Last week's (which I'm just getting around to posting) tasker... to show off our wedding dress. I love getting to look back at our wedding photos and remembering how faithful and good God was to us in that brief time we were engaged...so I'm pretty excited about this week!

Justin and I got engaged on July 15th and the wedding was scheduled (before we were even engaged!) for September 2nd. This gave me exactly 7 weeks to plan the wedding! The Lord orchestrated everything and finding my wedding dress was just one example!

Seven weeks! I was told that I would never be able to find a wedding dress in that time frame. The Lord provides! We found my wedding dress at David's Bridal. I'm about 5'3" with a somewhat petite build... so finding a wedding dress that didn't look like I was playing dress up in my mom's clothes was challenging.

I saw this dress on a mannequin when we first walked in and was drawn to it but they didn't have it in my size (or at least what they thought was my size). The sales consultant literally took this dress off the mannequin for me to try on (one of the few petite dresses in the store)... and it fit like a glove! I knew this was my wedding dress!
