Being Used By God

This weekend was Spirit West Coast out here. What is Spirit West Coast? A giant music festival! This year they had Mercy Me, David Crowder Band, Toby Mac and so many others!

Justin and I were contacted by the Head of the Ministry Department asking if our OCF (Officer Christian Fellowship) Bible Study might be able to help with the Altar Call. After several weeks of praying about it, about 13 of us volunteered. Let me say that walking up to total strangers and talking about Jesus can be quite intimidating and there were many of us feeling overwhelmed and hesitant as the festival drew near... but after the first night, all hesitation was gone and we were on fire!

The main speaker was Nick Vujicic, a 26 year old man with no arms or legs. He was a dynamic speaker! Despite having no limbs Nick swims, surfs and travels the world ministering to the hurting! As he said, "I will boldly stand before the gates of hell and redirect traffic!"... and that's exactly what he did this weekend! He redirected traffic to the Pearly Gates... and we were used by God to catch these Baby Christians and welcome them into the family of God. Each night I was amazed by the number of people who raised their hands to accept Jesus or recommit their lives! Some nights it was plain overwhelming! Some of us found ourselves talking to 3... 5... or even 10 people during each evening's altar call!

We had quite the weekend...
