A New Twist On Breakfast

Do you love Williams-Sonoma?  I do.  I love wondering through it and seeing all the fun gadgets they have... and occasionally we'll splurge and buy something from them.  It's like a grown-up's candy shop!

A few days before Christmas we had a box delivered from Williams-Sonoma.  Woohoo!!!  We had no idea what was in it... but that didn't matter... it was FROM Williams-Sonoma!  On Christmas Day I handed the box to my husband to open... I was torn between wanting to know what was in it or who it was from!  The box inside the box had a very official design and said "NORDICWARE" and was heavy.  Ooooh.  Without further ado Justin tore into and we found our very own Ebelskiver pan!  So what is an Ebelshiver?

THIS....

So the less "learned" people (aka- Americans. Doesn't that sound so snobby?) might call them a stuffed pancake... and yeah, that's pretty much what they are... but I love how strange and fancy Ebelskiver sounds.  I think this may be a new family tradition!  This batch was filled with homemade strawberry jam... and they were super yummy!  Now that we have this new toy, I think we might need this for inspiration :)

love, love ebelskivers here. We are in So. Ca and we travel to Solveng sometimes, (north of us) and the first thing we do is get some ebelskivers. They coat them with powdered sugar and a berry sauce. Yum! I've been meaning to buy this pan...I should just do it. I figure, sometimes a skill in an area is a bad thing, I'd probably eat these day and night..
